SERVING THE DRYCLEANING INDUSTRY FOR OVER 60 YEARS

Three associations merge into Heartland Fabricare Association

The Drycleaning & Laundry Institute (DLI) recently announced the newly formed Heartland Fabricare Association (HFA) following the merger of the Illinois Professional Drycleaners Association (IPDA), the Mid-West Drycleaning & Laundry Association (MWDLA), and the Wisconsin Fabricare Association (WFI), along with cleaners from Minnesota, into a single, unified organization.

This merger strengthens DLI’s commitment to serving members with greater resources, enhanced educational opportunities, and a more cohesive industry network.

Jon Meijer, DLI’s Director of Membership, highlighted the value the merger brings to members: “This is a win-win for everyone. HFA will deliver more educational opportunities, increased legislative and regulatory advocacy, and improved communication to better serve our members.”

HFA Executive Director Sue Kratz said, "With the industry evolving, consolidating our resources allows us to eliminate duplication of efforts and offer more robust educational programs throughout the region.”

As part of this transition, all members of the former individual associations are now part of the Heartland Fabricare Association, as well as the Drycleaning & Laundry Institute (DLI). For more information, visit the association’s website at www.heartlandfabricare.org.
