The Drycleaning & Laundry Institute (DLI) and its regional partner associations will be hosting quite a few events this month, including a webinar on Dec. 10 called “Generations of Clean: What Drycleaners Need to Know About the Next Generation of Consumers” with Katey Kratz of Safety and Environmental Compliance Consultants and co-director of the Heartland Fabricare Association (HFA).
The program, which will begin at 1 p.m. EST, will offer a data-driven look at how drycleaners can better understand — and reach — the next wave of consumers. Drawing from recent survey responses and hundreds of social media interactions, Kratz will highlight how attitudes toward drycleaning have shifted dramatically across generations, and what businesses can do to adapt.
Also this month will be an installment of DLI’s Marketing Masterclass on Dec. 18. The series explores various marketing topics. Each standalone program lasts one hour and includes a guest speaker’s presentation with a question-and-answer session at the end. Recent topics included a program on effective discounting by Wash Respess of Southside Cleaners in Lakeland, FL, and Dry Cleaning Advisors, using trigger-based marketing tactics with Tony Hadad with SMRT Systems, and Finding Your Brand Voice with Ken Sandy with Dryy in Washington, D.C., and Rechelle Balanzat with JULIETTE in New York City.
DLI will also continue to offer its weekly peer networking meetings every Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. EST. All members are invited to attend these networking events to meet new contacts and talk shop. More information on any of DLI’s upcoming events is available at DLIonline.org/Membership or 800-638-2627.
