SERVING THE DRYCLEANING INDUSTRY FOR OVER 60 YEARS

MWDLI releases Summer Summit schedule

This August, the Midwest Drycleaning and Laundry Institute (MWDLI) will host its popular Summer Summit event at the Belterra Casino Resort in Florence, IN.

Taking place from Aug. 9 to 11, attendees can expect a fun weekend of golf, gambling, social receptions and educational seminars.

MWDLI will tee off the event at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 9 with a round of golf at the Belterra Resort Golf Course. The cost to play golf is $125 per person and is separate from the registration for Summer Summit, which cost $270 per person for a full pass prior to July 11. There is also an option for Saturday events only at $90 per adult and $40 per child. After the July 11 deadline, there is an additional $20 fee per registration.

On Saturday morning, MWDLI Executive Director Jon Meijer will begin with opening remarks at 8:30 a.m. before he discusses the State of the Industry and what he learned while visiting nearly a hundred Midwest cleaners.

Later in the day, Glen Gould of Drycleaning Connection will present “Fired! With Enthusiasm!” at 11 a.m. as he divulges the universal key that can unlock the enthusiasm in any situation. After lunch, economist Chris Kuehl of Armada Corporate Intelligence will explore recent economic trends and forecast what to expect ahead. That program will run from 1 to 2 p.m.

Throughout the weekend, there will be time for visiting vendor exhibits and an evening full of social events, including dinner and a cocktail reception.

On Sunday morning, Kristina Stubblefield – a digital marketing strategist – will begin at 9 a.m. with a program that will help attendees discover how using AI (artificial intelligence) can enhance your marketing and operations and revolutionize your business. Then, at 10:30 a.m., there will be a roundtable discussion where participants will explore 10 key application of AI from crafting ad copy to automating responses to online reviews.
