Clean Brands, LLC, has announced the opening of the first Lapels Cleaners location in the state of Louisiana: Lapels Cleaners of Houma.
The company is owned and operated by the Lausen family, namely Michael and Kelli. The Lausens are energetic community leaders who are heavily involved in Cross Church of Houma and the Chamber of Commerce when they aren’t managing their other local insurance business.
Both Michael and Kelli already offer plenty of leadership experience and the ability to handle challenges under pressure. Michael spent his young professional career in the U.S. Army, where he was a certified Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) Technician. During Michael's active duty military service, he was assigned to support the U.S. Secret Service Technical Security Division both at the White House complex and Presidential travel advance teams to ensure the President’s safety and security both domestically and overseas. Upon returning to civilian life, Michael found himself working in managerial roles within the business development industry before he eventually founded his own insurance company alongside his wife.
Before opening the insurance business with Michael, Kelli spent several years in human resources, handling the recruiting and development of training plans within the healthcare industry. She also managed client relationships, including budgets, timelines, and strategic specifications. Together, the two are more than qualified to operate their own drycleaning business in Houma.
“Kelli and I had been looking at business opportunities in and around the Houma area and it didn’t take long for Lapels to catch our eye,” said Michael. “We knew we were interested in the drycleaning industry, as we believe it’s an evergreen need that people will never be without, but it was the Lapels brand that specifically drew us in. The brand’s environmentally friendly cleaning methods and reputation as a first-class national cleaning service were more than enough for us to take the leap and join the network.”
“We’re so excited about this opportunity and we’re working as quickly as we can to get up and running for our community!” said Kelli. “We’re very well connected with our fellow residents of Houma and we understand how valuable it is for us to be able to give time back to these busy families.”
