CINET announces Global Best Practices Awards

Recently, an international jury of independent Professional Textile Care (PTC) experts, chaired by Geert Boettger, determined the winners of CINET’s Global Best Practices Awards for 2022. Overall, 46 finalist companies competed in three categories: Industrial Textile Services (ITS); Retail Textile Cleaning (Small); and Retail Textile Cleaning (Big).

The winners included: Jan’s Professional Cleaners (USA) for RTC (Small) and Oxwash (UK) for RTC (Big). Lavans (Netherlands) won for Industrial Textile Services.

The event was attended by about 250 people in Milan, Italy, and thousands more globally of followers online streaming on Zoom. It was co-hosted by America’s Best Cleaners.

During the proceedings, a Special Lifetime Award was given to Ken Cupitt of the Guild of Cleaners & Launderers in the UK for his long and extraordinary contribution to the international professional textile care industry.. Additionally, Ariana Basseri from Steamer Cleaners won the Young Entrepreneur Awards for the US. Other Young Entrepreneurship Awards were given to: Daniel Shepherd of Cando Laundry in the UK; Tom Mahaut of Wosh in Belgium; and Eric Liu of Hibest PR in China.

Awards of Excellence for Entrepreneurship were presented to Karl Chahade from KCDC in Australia; Jan Barlow from Jan’s Professional Dry Cleaners in the U.S.; Yoboue Celestin from Buanderies Modernes of Ivory Coast; Sarah and Kashif Sheikh from Elite Cleaners in the UK; Stefano Pierotti from The Pierotti Network in Italy and Gaurav Nigam from TumbleDry in India.
