Glyndon Lord Baltimore Cleaners has received notification of its official national certification as an affiliate of America’s Best Cleaners.
John Garman, Janet Garman, and Mike Garman, co-owners of Glyndon Lord Baltimore Cleaners, America’s Best Cleaners’ new certified affiliateThe company is a third-generation family owned and operated business that has served the Baltimore area for over a century. Originally named Glyndon Cleaners, the business was founded by the Merrick family in 1921 and later sold to Robert Mathias in the 1940s. In the late 1990s, Glyndon Cleaners merged with Lord Baltimore Cleaners to become Glyndon Lord Baltimore Cleaners.
Today the business is owned by Robert’s grandchildren, John, Janet and Mike Garman. Through the years, they have continued the tradition of exceptional cleaning and care, outstanding customer service and convenience. As a leader in wardrobe and home textiles care, Glyndon Lord Baltimore Cleaners offers drycleaning, laundry, and area rug cleaning service.

Garman also shared her initial impressions of the organization: “I attended the Puritan Cleaners ABC meeting in the fall and was really impressed by the energy level. It was 120 on a scale of 1 to 100. A lot of diverse and meaningful content was covered in less than 48 hours, but the pace was steady and everything was well-orchestrated. The ABC affiliates and Chris and his team were really warm and welcoming, just like I've always found everyone in this industry to be.” As one of under 50 businesses certified by America’s Best Cleaners, Glyndon Lord Baltimore Cleaners joins an exclusive group of elite drycleaners from over 20,000 dry cleaning establishments in the United States.
